A former Guilderland man who killed his mom decades ago used shoelaces to kill his cellmate at Upstate Correctional Facility, State Police said Monday.
Michael J. Campbell, 51, was found dead on April 6 in his cell at the Malone prison. Authorities found signs of foul play and a medical examiner ruled Campbellās death a homicide.
State Police on Monday said the investigation determined Andrew Hernandez, 42, strangled Campbell with shoelaces. So far, the troopers have not said what charges Hernandez will face.
