One charged after used bookstore in rural Rensselaer County is broken into

STEPHENTOWN — One person has been charged after a local bookstore was broken into early Monday morning.

An intruder broke into Braveheart Books and Bazaar around 12:43 a.m. and stole items from the shop, according to a post shared on the business’ social media pages. Owner Louise Hendry said in the post she watched it happen in real time from another part of the property while on the phone with police. Stills from the security footage, showing the intruder, were shared with the post.
