Menands, NY (WRGB) — The Village of Menands is lowering the speed limit on most of its streets in an effort to improve safety for residents and pedestrians.
Village officials announced that speed limits on all village-owned public streets will be reduced from 30 miles per hour to 25 miles per hour.
The change applies to all streets except several major roadways, including:
- Wards Lane
- NYS Route 32 (Broadway)
- NYS Route 787
- NYS Route 377 (Rensselaer Boulevard)
- NYS Route 378 (Menand Road), which will remain at their current posted speeds
