With a name that takes inspiration from the show “Gilmore Girls,” The Dragonfly Cafe is owned by Stefanie Carducci. She first started a small business called Ella’s Fairytale, making faux leather hairbows to help get through postpartum depression.

She then realized she wanted to open a coffee shop and help showcase other small businesses. The Dargonfly Cafe will include several drink and packaged snack options, crafts from local vendors, and will host small events such as karaoke nights, comedy nights, and baby showers.

“I want the cafe to feel like you’re in your own magical safe space and I want it to be inviting and unique,” said Carducci.

The space is going through some minor renovations, said Carducci. They just finished painting and are now working on adding the espresso bar.

Carducci is aiming for a May 1 opening. The Dragonfly Cafe will be open Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. and Saturday 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Carducci said these hours will be expanded during the summer.
