COXSACKIE — A town councilman was arrested for criminal mischief and trespassing after he allegedly broke into a woman’s house and took a key to her home, State Police said Wednesday.
Michael Veeder, 37, was charged with two misdemeanors following the April 10 incident at the woman’s home in Cairo, police said in a statement.
Investigators allege that Veeder unlawfully entered the 36-year-old woman’s home without her consent while she was inside. When she asked Veeder to leave, he complied but took a key fob. The fob was later found damaged in a nearby wooded area…
