Rensselaer man charged after allegedly damaging fountain

RENSSELAER, N.Y. (WNYT)- The Rensselaer Police Department says a man has been arrested after a criminal mischief complaint on a home on Washington Avenue.

James Allen Jr., 54, from Rensselaer, was charged with two counts of criminal mischief and one count of criminal trespass after police say they got a call April 16 reporting someone had knocked over and damaged a large fountain at 199 Washington Avenue.

Upon obtaining video of the incident, police released a picture asking for the public’s help identifying the suspect…
