Upstate NY man sentenced to maximum prison term in daughter’s starvation death: ‘I deserve it’

Robert Buskey Jr. of Schenectady, New York, has been sentenced to 27 years to life in prison for the starvation death of his 5-year-old daughter.

According to People, Buskey, 35, received this sentence on April 3. This comes after he pleaded guilty to second-degree murder and criminal sale of a controlled substance to a child in January, which the Schenectady County District Attorney’s Office revealed in a press release.
