SCHENECTADY, N.Y. (NEWS10) — The Schenectady Police Department is seeking the public’s help with an investigation into a Sunday night assault on State Street. Police said a 47-year-old woman is receiving treatment for stab wounds at a local hospital.

Authorities responded to the CDTA bus stop on State Street near Furman Street around 6:56 p.m. for an alleged stabbing. On the scene, police said they found the 47-year-old woman had stab wounds to her upper back.
The investigation remains ongoing. Anyone with information about the incident or who may have witnessed it should call the Schenectady Police Department Tip Line at (518) 788-6566.
