Police ask for public’s help in Schenectady stabbing case

SCHENECTADY, N.Y. (NEWS10) — The Schenectady Police Department is seeking the public’s help with an investigation into a Sunday night assault on State Street. Police said a 47-year-old woman is receiving treatment for stab wounds at a local hospital.

Authorities responded to the CDTA bus stop on State Street near Furman Street around 6:56 p.m. for an alleged stabbing. On the scene, police said they found the 47-year-old woman had stab wounds to her upper back.
