Proposal in city council would raise minimum in Albuquerque

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — Minimum wage in New Mexico hasn’t gone up since 2023. But just about everything else has: gas, groceries, cost of living and more.

At least five city councilors and Mayor Tim Keller want to change that. City Councilors Tammy Fiebelkorn, Joaquin Baca, Nichole Rogers and Stephanie Telles are bringing forward Ordinance 26-33, which would amend Albuquerque’s Minimum Wage Ordinance to raise it.
