ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – The Albuquerque Police Department has arrested two more suspects related to a deadly shooting in Old Town. Last year, 19-year-old Luis Ortiz met a group of teens in the parking lot on Rio Grande. Investigators believe Ortiz was selling the group alcohol before a fight broke out, leading to shots being fired. Ortiz was later found shot in his car, which had crashed into a wall.
On Friday, APD announced the arrest of now 17-year-old Andres Arenicar-Campos and 19-year-old Alonzo Cuarenta. A witness told detectives that Campos was seen shooting at Ortiz with a handgun after threatening him.
