ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – A fire at a two-story apartment building in northeast Albuquerque has left nine people displaced, according to Albuquerque Fire Rescue.

Firefighters responded to 420 Vermont NE around 10:30 a.m. Tuesday and found a working fire on the upper floor of the building. Fire crews learned that a kitchen fire had occurred and were able to contain it to the involved apartment. Adjacent apartments, however, were impacted by smoke and water damage.
