ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – Police charged a suspect for a November 1983 murder in Albuquerque where a 71-year-old woman was found dead in a hotel room.
Officers charged 73-year-old Charlie Brown Jr., of Champaign, Illinois, for killing 71-year-old Agnes Tybo. It happened Nov. 11, 1983, at the now-defunct Sundowner Motel that once stood at 6101 Central Ave N.E.
An employee found Tybo dead in one of the rooms investigators said was in “complete disarray.” The Office of the Medical Investigator later determined the cause of death to be strangulation and the manner of death a homicide…
