ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) — Albuquerque honored and celebrated a woman who dedicated more than 30 years to advancing the arts, education, and community-centered initiatives across the metro. People celebrated Dr. Shelle Vanetten de Sanchez’s retirement as a part of the city’s “Stories of Us” program.
Sanchez served for nearly nine years as the city’s arts and culture director. The ceremony included a plaque and the renaming of the Festival Green Stage at the BioPark Botanic Garden in her honor.
