49 new U.S. citizens take oath in Albuquerque before our country’s 250th birthday

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — Celebrating our country’s milestone 250th birthday has a different meaning for our newest American citizens.

49 people from 14 countries became U.S. citizens in Albuquerque Friday. A room at the Albuquerque Convention Center was transformed into a symbol of the American dream.
