ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – Eleven-year-old Aubree Chavez is not afraid to stand out, sporting bright hues of blue, purple, or pink in her hair. Even when she’s got a brain tumor. “All her concern was, ‘Is my dye gonna come out and am I gonna have my head shaved?’” said Bernadette Moya, Aubree’s mother.
It’s been a hard year for Aubree and her family. Mom, Bernadette Moya, watched as Aubree faced painful symptoms and brain surgery. “Never in a million years would no parent want to ever hear that your daughter has a tumor,” said Moya. Going on to say, “It changed our life forever.”
