ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – More than four months after retired Air Force General William Neil McCasland disappeared, newly released video shows the moments his family and friends first realized something was wrong. The video shows Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Office deputies trying to piece together where he may have gone.Deputy: “So, this is completely out of the norm for him?”Susan McCasland: “Completely out of the norm. I mean, you’ll see all over the house, preparations. He was going to a backcountry ski hut next week with 17 friends.”

McCasland was last seen around 11 a.m. on February 27 near Quail Run Court in northeast Albuquerque. BCSO deputies believe the avid outdoorsman left his house on foot. Susan McCasland: “He’s very, very active physically and has always had a very sharp mind. He’s a retired Major General from the Air Force. He has a Ph.D. from MIT, and he’s been feeling brain fog.”
She said his disappearance was completely out of character, telling deputies he didn’t bring any clothes, all his shoes were at the home, and he intentionally turned off his phone before leaving. She said her husband also took medication the night before and was acting differently the day he went missing…
