Man accused of destroying Flock cameras in Rio Rancho will not stay in jail until trial

RIO RANCHO, N.M. (KRQE) – The man accused of vandalizing license plate readers in Rio Rancho will not be behind bars as he awaits his trial. Police said 44-year-old Jevon Martinez destroyed three Flock cameras, replacing them with a note saying, “You’re welcome, the Republic of New Mexico.”

Online court records show a magistrate court judge released Martinez on his own recognizance, but he must report to pretrial services. Under his conditions of release, he cannot return to the scene of the crime…
