ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — Getting older has its challenges and while some seniors can still do a lot on their own, they often need a little help from a friend.
The problem is, not every senior has someone around willing to help them out. That is why the City of Albuquerque has an Americorps volunteer program for seniors who can’t find a companion – but they could use more volunteers, like Edwina Tabares.
