ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – Local religious leaders are calling for peace and unity after recent heated debates and alleged acts of violence surrounding a new mosque set to be built in Albuquerque’s North Valley.
The mosque, which will be located near Second Street and Alameda Boulevard, got the green light from the Bernalillo County Planning Commission on July 1, but that wasn’t the end of the story.
