Albuquerque Department of Parks and Rec updates Richland Hills Park on westside

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) — Local kids are getting to enjoy big upgrades at a westside park in Albuquerque spearheaded by Representative Cynthia Borrego. Richland Park got some major upgrades including new equipment, updated landscaping and solar lighting.

Neighbors at today’s ribbon cutting expressed their appreciation to the city and Representative Borrego. “I’ve lived here for 30 years and I think this is a great, great improvement and I just want to say thank you to Cynthia, thank you to the City of Albuquerque… I look forward to bringing my grandkids here now, so thank you,” said Resident Linda Vigil.

“It’s a wonderful park, I spend a lot of my time here throughout the day… This is the way government should work, it should work exactly this way,” said Resident Art Willheight.

Over $200,000 went into updating the park…
