ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) — Testimony has begun in the trial against a man accused of hitting and killing a motorcyclist nearly two years ago. In November of 2024, police say then 19-year-old Eliazar Torres was speeding on San Mateo and Candelaria when he ran a red light, hitting and killing Christopher Sanford who was on his motorcycle.
Police say Torres was going 75 miles an hour before the crash. During Tuesday’s testimony, we heard from someone who witnessed the crash. “I was coming to a complete stop when I heard a vehicle coming southbound and what came into my mind was… Instead of this vehicle stopping, I heard the engine rev and it came through the intersection,” said the witness…
