RRPS hashes out priorities to bring to state school board

RIO RANCHO — Rio Rancho Public Schools’ list of recommended resolutions to the New Mexico School Board Association in 2026 will look much the same as the list sent in 2025.

In a discussion at Monday night’s school board meeting, the board opted to retain six of the eight resolutions from the previous year, pull two and, and the recommendation of Board Member Dr. Michael Berry, add one regarding the monies from the judgement against Meta in a lawsuit filed by the state of New Mexico.

“These are all issues that are still going on,” said Loren Hatch, chief of staff and legal affairs for RRPS. “The idea is to have a discussion tonight and see what we would like to have in the draft resolution.”…
