RIO RANCHO — A man was arrested after allegedly strangling a man for not selling him marijuana, despite a cannabis store being a few feet away.
Elijah Curley, 26, of Albuquerque, was arrested Aug. 28 for aggravated battery causing great bodily harm, resisting arrest, DWI, driving while license revoked and careless driving near Verdes Cannabis on Grande Boulevard.
Curley was pulled over by officers responding to a report of an assault in the 2300 block of Grande Boulevard, but he allegedly refused to comply with officer commands, according to a statement of probably cause.
