ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – The New Mexico State Fair kicks off on Thursday and with that comes deals and special recognitions each day through the fairs last day on Sept. 20.
What’s new at the 2026 New Mexico State Fair?
“We strive to keep the Fair affordable and accessible for all New Mexicans,” said Fair General Manager Dan Mourning. “With these incredible discounts, we invite New Mexicans to get in on all the fun, including delicious fair foods and thrilling midway rides!”
Opening Day Specials, Thursday, Sept. 10
- $2 Admission: Kick off the fair with a bang! Admission to the fair is $2.
- $2 Rides: All rides across the midway will be just $2 each.
- Graze Dayz $5 Food Specials: On opening day, each food vendor will offer a select menu item for $5.
- Law Enforcement Day: Free admission for New Mexico Law Enforcement officers and personnel with valid ID.
Friday, Sept. 11
- Firefighters and First Responders Day: Firefighters and first responders free with valid ID.
- State Employee Appreciation: Admission $5 on-site only with proof of state employment.
Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 12-13
- Teacher Appreciation Weekend: School employees free with proof.
- State Employee Appreciation: Admission $5 on-site only with proof of state employment.
Monday, Sept. 14
- $5 admission, online only. Full price at the gate.
Tuesday, Sept. 15
- Military Appreciation Day: Active-duty military and veterans are free with proof.
- $5 admission online only. Full price at the gate.
Wednesday, Sept. 16
- Dollar Day: $1 admission, $1 rides.
Thursday, Sept. 17
- $5 admission online only. Full price at the gate.
- Graze Dayz: Food vendors will offer a select menu item for just $5.
Friday, Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 18-20
- City and County Employee Appreciation: $5 admission on-site only with proof of city/county employment.
