The GCU track and field team excelled at the UNM Team Open, breaking multiple school records and achieving WAC leading performances. Athletes like Onome Ogbeni and Daviciea McCartney delivered outstanding results, with Ogbeni breaking the school record in shot put and McCartney setting records in the 60m hurdles and 400m. The men’s field events saw impressive performances from pole vaulters Jack Hodge, Eric Cabais-Fernandez, and Grant Hagaman. Similarly, Cannon Angotti, James Smith II, Jazmine Scott, and Neysia Howard delivered exceptional results, further solidifying the team’s standing in the WAC.
