Albuquerque garage fire leaves family displaced

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – One family is now without a home after a fire broke out at their home. Early Saturday morning, Albuquerque Fire Rescue (AFR) arrived at a home located on Father Sky Street, near Tramway Boulevard.

AFR lieutenant celebrates retirement

Fire crews say a fire was coming out of the garage. AFR says they were able to bring the flames under control within 12 minutes. Damage to the house was contained to the garage, and the family in the home got out safely.

Fire investigators say the fire was prevented from spreading because the homeowner closed the doors to the garage. Investigators determined the cause of the fire appeared to be accidental…
