ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – The City of Albuquerque has given the owners of the Bliss Building, which houses Lindy’s Diner in downtown Albuquerque, more time to apply for a renovation permit or a demolition permit.

The deadline to apply for either permit was initially set for Friday, May 15; however, Mayor Tim Keller announced that the building owners, Steve and Dawn Vetoseow, now have an additional two weeks to determine how they will move forward after one of the building’s walls collapsed.
“We know that based on our construction estimates, that, you know, that is a defensible date, and it gives them more time,’ Keller said on Friday. “So, that’s all works out, but, after that, it is just time’s up, we can’t risk that thing falling down and people getting hurt.”…
