Virginia man once freed in abuse case remains jailed on abduction charge

PRINCE WILLIAM COUNTY, Va. (7News) — Ronnie Reel, who Fairfax County Commonwealth’s Attorney Steve Descano’s office let walk free on a plea deal after confessing to sexually abusing an 11-year-old boy, is now charged with abducting a minor.

On Tuesday, Reel had a hearing in Prince William County Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court. Reel’s public defender requested bond. Reel’s assigned public defender wasn’t in court, so State Senator Jennifer Carroll Foy, who works in the public defender’s office, filled in and withdrew the motion for bond, saying it may be filed another time.
