Man rescued after falling from boat dock in Southwest DC dies, police say

WASHINGTON (DC News Now) — A man who was rescued after falling from a boat dock in Southwest D.C. late Friday night has died, according to police.

Officers from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Harbor Patrol Unit responded to the report of a person in the water at the James Creek Marina in the 200 block of V street, SW, at around 9:45 p.m.

By 10:30 p.m., responders had pulled the man from the water. He was taken to the hospital in critical condition, officials noted…
