DES MOINES, Iowa — Over 100 Iowa National Guard soldiers are headed to Washington, DC, this summer to support public safety and preparations for America’s 250th birthday.
Approximately 120 Iowa National Guard troops will be deployed for six months starting this July. Under Title 32, 502(f), the federal government is funding the mobilization.
