Two men arrested after Chesapeake Beach disturbance, assault with screwdriver

CHESAPEAKE BEACH, Md. (DC News Now) — A D.C. man and a Maryland man were arrested after a “reported disturbance” in Chesapeake Beach over the weekend, officials said.

According to the Calvert County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO), deputies responded to the disturbance outside the Traders Steak & Ale at 3855 Gordon Stinnett Ave. in Chesapeake Beach around 8:30 p.m. on Saturday.

There, they found 54-year-old David Reidy Brosnahan of Washington, D.C., with injuries consistent with an assault. Deputies learned that his injuries came from a physical altercation that took place near the pavilion area at Kellam’s Field on the same road.

CCSO said that during the altercation, a man later identified as 44-year-old Nathan Oliver White of Chesapeake allegedly stabbed Brosnahan in the upper body with a flathead screwdriver. He ran from the area after the assault, but deputies quickly found and apprehended him nearby…
