Woman hurt in Southwest DC shooting, police investigating

WASHINGTON (DC News Now) — A woman is hurt after a shooting in D.C. on Wednesday, police said.

Details are limited; however, police said around 1:20 p.m. officers responded to the 300 block of Maple Drive, Southwest, for the report of a shooting. Upon arrival, officers found a woman conscious and breathing, with a gunshot wound.

The on-scene investigation determined that the shooting occurred in the 200 block of K Street, Southwest.
