WASHINGTON — A person driving in Northwest D.C. intentionally hit a pedestrian with their car and drove away early Sunday morning, police said.
Just after 5 a.m. Sunday, a person was hit by a car on the the 4600 block of New Hampshire Avenue NW. The driver of the car then drove away. The person who was struck was brought to a nearby hospital with injuries not considered to be life-threatening.
Now, police are asking for help finding the driver. D.C. Police posted surveillance footage from a nearby camera showing the car making a U-turn and driving off near the intersection of Crittenden Street NW on YouTube. The car appears to be a gray sedan.
