Suspected illegal fireworks left a family’s home so damaged, it will take weeks to repair.
Investigators believe someone set off fireworks in an alley on E Street NE near Oklahoma Avenue just after midnight Thursday. Sparks ignited bamboo in the backyard of the home, and the fire spread to the house.
