Unlicensed And Unfinished: Bowie Man Charged After Waldorf Roofing Deal

WALDORF, Md. — A Bowie man has been charged after investigators allege he accepted more than $2,300 for roof repairs at a Waldorf home, never began the work and refused to return the money.

Alex J. Alexander, 48, of Bowie, was charged by criminal summons with acting as a contractor without a license, selling home improvements without a license, failing to perform a contract and felony theft from $1,500 to under $25,000.
