Hospital Security Guard Bitten, Correctional Deputy Spit On; Waldorf Man Faces Two Assault Cases

PRINCE FREDERICK, Md. — A Waldorf man is facing two separate second-degree assault charges after Calvert County Sheriff’s Office investigators alleged he had assaulted both a hospital security guard and a Calvert County correctional deputy while receiving treatment at CalvertHealth Medical Center, according to court documents.

Lacoy Rafiel Michael Toms, 45, of Waldorf, was charged in two separate cases filed in the District Court for Calvert County through applications for statements of charges. Both charges stem from separate incidents that allegedly occurred July 17, 2026, at CalvertHealth Medical Center in Prince Frederick.
