WALDORF, Md. — A Waldorf man is facing a misdemeanor child neglect-related charge after a Charles County Sheriff’s Office deputy alleged he left a young child home alone while going to work, according to court documents.
Alexis Sanchez, 32, of Waldorf, was charged in the District Court for Charles County with one count of confining an unattended child, a misdemeanor. The charge was filed July 16, 2026, through a statement of charges application, meaning the case was initiated through the court rather than by an on-view arrest.
