The family of a 28-year-old Silver Spring man who was killed in a single-vehicle collision in White Oak last weekend is asking the community for support as they prepare to lay him to rest and help provide for his young son.
A GoFundMe campaign has been launched for John William Stacey, who died after a crash early Saturday morning, July 25. Organizers described Stacey as “a loving boyfriend, a devoted father, a cherished son, and a loyal friend,” adding that his greatest joy was his son, who is about to celebrate his second birthday. Donations will help cover funeral and burial expenses, with any remaining funds set aside to support his son’s future.
According to Montgomery County Police, officers and Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service personnel responded at approximately 4:39 a.m. to the 11800 block of New Hampshire Avenue for a reported single-vehicle collision.
