Dogs sheltered after house fire in Northwest DC

WASHINGTON (DC News Now) — Two dogs were sheltered in Northwest D.C. after a fire broke out in a home on Monday.

The DC Fire and EMS Department said in a post shortly after 3:45 p.m. that units were in the 4600 block of 9th St. NW for a fire.

When firefighters arrived, they saw smoke on the first and second floors.

Crews found a fire on the first floor of the home and had put it out by the time of that post. Fire officials said that the fire did not spread to the house’s second floor or any other row homes…
