WASHINGTON (DC News Now) — New murals were painted around the District as part of the nation’s 250th birthday.
“I think it’s wonderful,” said Bernetta Williams of Upper Marlboro, Md, as she gets her first look at the new artwork that adorns the wall outside Ben’s Chili Bowl.
Virginia Ali, the matriarch of Ben’s Chili Bowl, is among the latest faces featured. Plus, legendary singer Pearl Bailey, who performed around the city, including the Lincoln Theatre next door.
