A 55-year-old Takoma Park man has been arrested and charged with attempted first-degree murder following an assault that left a 47-year-old man critically injured, according to the Takoma Park Police Department.
Police Chief Antonio DeVaul announced the arrest of Nebiyu Teklu G. Michael, 55, of Takoma Park. Michael has been charged with attempted first-degree murder, first-degree assault, second-degree assault and reckless endangerment.
On August 10 at approximately 11:04am, Takoma Park police officers responded to the intersection of Houston Avenue and Roanoke Avenue for a report of an assault in progress.
