Bomb squad shuts down D.C. street during rush hour — over an adult toy

Authorities shut down a Washington, D.C. road during rush hour on Wednesday as bomb squad investigators raced to investigate a “suspicious device” that turned out to be an X-rated item, according to reports.

A witness said they saw someone place the suspicious item in a trash can at the Tenleytown fire station, The Guardian reported. It was apparently described as a “blue-and-black electronic device” with exposed wires.
