WASHINGTON (7News) — The final preparations are underway for the Freedom 250 Grand Prix, a first-of-its-kind race at the nation’s capital.
Bud Denker, the chairman of this weekend’s events, gave 7News an exclusive behind-the-scenes tour of the track area Monday. He said construction crews are now working around-the-clock to finish the track and put the finishing touches on the grandstands.
About 70% of the race track has been built, Denker told 7News. The remaining track along Pennsylvania Avenue is expected to be completed by Monday night…
