Despite the rain and the humidity, The Wall That Heals rolled into Campbelltown Community Park on Tuesday, Sept. 1, to honor Vietnam veterans’ sacrifice and educate visitors about the continuing impact of the war.
Escorted by 117 motorcycle riders and South Londonderry Township Police, the three-quarter scale replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial arrived to cheers from residents who lined the entrance of the park. Officials said The Wall That Heals will be open 24 hours a day once it is fully installed at 129 Lawn Road Park, and will be free to the public.
