Lehigh Valley Zoo introduced two new residents to its ostrich and zebra habitat on May 14, both arriving from Riverbanks Zoo & Garden in Columbia, South Carolina, the zoo announced in a news release.
Gabrielle, a 13-year-old female ostrich, and Forrest, a 10-year-old plains zebra, will join the Schnecksville zoo’s current residents Bane, a male ostrich, and Rylea, a female zebra. The new arrivals will help replenish the shared habitat, which recently lost two longtime animals.
