Actor and comedian Faizon Love was taken into custody this week on contempt-of-court charges related to a child support dispute, according to jail records and statements from his attorney.

Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office records indicate that the 58-year-old Love was booked on June 16 in a Hillsborough County jail on two counts of contempt of court. The arrest pertains to a family court case in Hillsborough County, identified by case number 19-DR-017453.

Love’s lawyer, Glen R. Lansky of Lansky Law Group, confirmed that the actor was initially arrested in Riverside County, California, before being transported to Florida to face charges.
