The Northampton Area High School softball team took a 1-0 lead over Emmaus on Thursday night on a solo blast from senior first baseman Avery Deibert in the fourth inning of the District 11 Class 6A championship game and held that lead into the seventh as junior pitcher Rylee Gable kept delivering goose eggs on the scoreboard.
