After manhunt, clever ruse and 3 stun-gun shocks, fugitive is nabbed in Nazareth: police

A manhunt for a fugitive wanted in multiple Pennsylvania jurisdictions led to his capture last month in Nazareth, authorities said.

But to finally take Carl A. Brown into custody, investigators had to employ a clever distraction to get a woman he had assaulted away from him safely, court records state. Law enforcement officers say they also shocked him three times with a Taser before he would be subdued.

Brown, who turned 36 Tuesday in Northampton County Prison, was wanted on an arrest warrant for allegedly breaking into his ex-girlfriend’s Nazareth home on Dec. 8 and assaulting her. The victim suffered serious injuries that required medical treatment, police said…
