Northampton County attorney Stanley Margle pleaded no contest to drug charges and could have those charges dismissed if he successfully completes his probation.
Margle, 68, of Palmer Township, said his plea resulted in a “disposition without conviction.” He pleaded no contest to a single count of drug possession and two counts of possession of drug paraphernalia, charges that stem from two incidents where sheriff’s deputies found drugs and paraphernalia in his bag.
A no contest plea means Margle doesn’t admit to the crimes but does admit there’s enough evidence to convict him of the crimes. Retired Chester County Judge William P. Mahon accepted the plea, sentenced Margle to two years of probation and agreed the charges can be dismissed if Margle complies with probation officers…
