Woman pleads guilty to lesser charges in wildlife officer impersonation case

NORTHAMPTON CO., Pa. – A Stroudsburg woman who falsely claimed she was a Pennsylvania Game Commission officer during a traffic stop last month and charged with impersonation was in court Friday.

Janine Tancredi was pulled over last month for traffic violations and told police she was a Pennsylvania Game Commission officer responding to an emergency call in Bethlehem.

Tancredi, who says she is a licensed wildlife rehabilitator and veterinary technician, was initially charged with impersonating a public officer and several vehicle-related traffic charges…
